Many years of dealing with inbound tours of New Zealand, led husband and wife team Mike and Nicola Painter, to form Kiwi Travel and Tours Ltd. Our aim? To be very customer focused; and to actively promote New Zealand as the idyllic travel destination that it is. Not for us the downright nasty, whirlwind tours so often sold to our Chinese and Korean neighbours. We aimed to ensure that our clients went home with glowing recommendations about the country and our company.

We expanded to include other South Pacific destinations for our inbound groups, families and individuals. Last year, we introduced Kiwi Escorted Tours out of New Zealand, including the Kiwi Care Escorted Tours product, which includes a registered nurse in each departing tour.  Find out more about these tours by clicking here.

When we launched our Kiwi Care product last year, we did so because events in our own family made us acutely aware that personal circumstances have made travel difficult for some.  The inclusion of a nurse in the tour party, a caring attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to deal with wheelchairs and walking aides seemed ‘radical’ to many in the industry.  We’re really pleased that the success of our trips has justified our vision –many more wonderful tours to come!
