From Kansas to L.A.

Last August I had a wonderful holiday in Iowa with my daughter and her family. For the journey home I motored to Kansas to catch the plane to L.A. After the security checks were completed I found my departure area and waited for the call to board. The passengers were divided into two lines. My line was the smallest and last to board. The plane was a Boeing 737. I stepped into the aisle and was amazed to see that the window and aisle seats were all occupied by some very large persons leaving the middle seat for the rest of us. I slowly walked down the aisle looking from side to side for a seat which had smaller bodies on each side and over half way saw a slim man on the aisle with a plump woman at the window. So I took the middle one. As the trip progressed I got chatting to the man. The woman was engrossed in a Crossword. As the plane prepared to land the woman spoke to the man and I discovered that they were husband and wife, prepared to travel together but apart. Hope we never have free for all seating on ANZ.
