The day of our departure for Greece, torrential rain and thunder was forecast. Our lovely London hostess took us to the Tube Station to catch the train to Gatwick airport and our flight with Thomas Cook Airlines to SANTORINI – GREECE.
We had decided to spend a fortnight in the Greek islands while we were in Europe and had been lucky to obtain the last two tickets of a group tour and a direct flight from London to Santorini. As the decision to go here was a spur-of-the-moment one, we did not have time to find a House Sit or a Home Exchange, but we managed to book hotels and ferries in-advance, which was essential in the tourist season. After a tremendously successful Hosting stay in London, we hoped that our stay in the Greek hotels would not be a disappointment.
