Alice to Newcastle

This is a real true story , I was driving down the back of Queensland on my way to Newcastle to catch the P&O liner Orcades to New Zealand when I got a puncher.

So I set about get the things out of the car and tryed to get the wheel off , but the nut had round edges and I was stuck , well what to do so I got the billy out and made a cup of tea.

After the billy had boiled I sat down and made something to eat , after 10 minutes along came this old guy in his truck , he asked me whats wrong and I told him I could not get the wheel off , so he got his things out and did the job for me , I asked him did he want a drink and we both sat down and had a chat . After 30 minutes he got up to go and just about to leave when he said to me these words I have never forgot , you know its just like a POMMY something goes wrong so you sit down and have a cup of tea .
