Itinerary
Saturday 24th September 2011 - ARRIVE ROMEArrive Rome, and transfer to Hotel Porta maggiore. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Sunday 25th September 2011 - ROMEEnjoy exploring Rome with a local guide taking in the beautiful piazzas, as well as some of the city’s most famous landmarks including the Sistine Chapel.
Monday 26th September 2011 - ROMEEnjoy the day at leisure in Rome.
Tuesday 27th September 2011 - ROME – ORVIETO - CETONATravel north to the Chianti area in southern Tuscany. Stop in the stunning Etruscan town of Orvieto, Continue to your home for the next four nights near Cetona – Villa Altere where you’ll meet your Art Teacher, Ms Irma Weissman.
Wednesday 28th September 2011 - CETONAArt classes will take place from 2pm – 6pm daily. Outside of tuition time, you are free to explore the area at leisure – there are plenty of trails for walking or hiking or you may wish to use the pool facilities.
Thursday 29th September 2011 - CETONAAfter breakfast in the villa, return transfers will take you into Cetona, a beautifully preserved medieval town, just 5km from the villa.
Friday 30th September 2011 - CETONASpend your morning at leisure before your art class.
Saturday 1st October 2011 - CETONA – CASENTINO VALLEYTravel further north driving through the beautiful Tuscan landscape bringing you to your home for the next two nights in the Casentino Valley at Villa Sylvia. You will be joined by your art teacher, Mr Abraham Clet.
Sunday 2nd October 2011 - CASENTINO VALLETY – AREZZO – CASENTINO VALLEYReturn transfers are provided to Arezzo where you can head to the local market. Returning in the afternoon for your art class with Clet.
Monday 3rd October 2011 - CASENTINO VALLEYEnjoy a relaxing breakfast before your final art class, followed by a farewell dinner.
Tuesday 4th October 2011 - CASENTINO VALLEY – FLORENCEAfter breakfast you will head to Florence, the regional capital of Tuscany, for a full day at leisure. The art galleries and museums of Florence are renowned throughout the world with the superb David of Michaelangelo, the Venus of Botticelli and the stunning Duomo with it’s marble facade. Overnight in Florence this evening on a bed & breakfast basis. (B)
Wednesday 5th October 2011 - FLORENCE – MILAN - DEPARTSpend the morning at leisure in Florence before making your way to the railway station to board the afternoon train for Milan. On arrival you will be met by a local guide who will accompany you on a sightseeing tour. Enjoy an early evening meal at leisure before transferring to the airport for your evening flight. (B)
