The U.S. says that “Drugged driving” is a growing threat on that nation’s highways. As many as one in six cars on the road may have a driver under the influence of drugs. Which isn’t that bad considering that two of the six are drunk and the other three are on the mobile or texting.

Bad news and good news now depending on which way you look at it, Winston Peters suspects  his election promise will be broken by any Government changes to the SuperGold card scheme, which of course  means the Waiheke ferry will be far less crowded.

The Best part about working at Solid Gold: playing all the songs I grew up with and later played on radio, its the memories and the team who work here (and the fact I can work in my undies!)
Favourite Music: The 60s and 70s of course and anything from Country to Disco and Rock.  I also don't mind the odd bit of Modern Classical from Composers like Phillip Glass
Favourite pastime: Watching great movies on my new 42inch Plasma...and reading magazines (everything from Vanity Fair to Time, NZ Net Guide) and of course packing into the MultiPlex with Popcorn and Jaffas.
Favourite Food: TV dinners and a good old fashioned roast...oh and the odd bit of Japanese.
What would you be if you weren't in Radio:  I dont know, I've been in radio 45 years and can only think of perhaps acting in a long running soap or maybe bossing people round in a call centre
Six people you'd like share dinner with: Pam Corkery, Alison Mau, Richard Lowe, John Key, Jerry Seinfeld and John Cena
Likes: sincerity, kindness in others, sitting round watching TV, confident people, people who can make you laugh, positive people, travel, books and most movies
Dislikes: bossy people, judgemental people, Auckland drivers, bad sportsmanship, Do-goody academics.
