Last year, after breaking my specs, my insurance paid out on a new pair, bless their hearts.
Nearly one thousand dollars, phew !I really look after the new ones that have all the bells and whistles.
BUT, on holiday on a boat over Christmas, the things tipped over on the dashboard, and scratched, right where I look through.
Yaah, all fuzzy - forever !
I felt another claim would be pushing those nice Insurance people a bit far.
So I spent some time on the Net, and found a page about this. Apparently, all the new plastic lenses have an anti-glare coating on them, and this is very soft - scratches easy.
However, the bloggers reckoned that there was a US made product that could take off the antiglare, without wrecking the lense.
- Had to try it, the glasses were horrible.
So I got some, heart in mouth, painted it on, and Voila! the glasses are clear again.
So, for anyone out there with hazy specs, peering through the gloom, let's know, I am happy to pass on the information. Cheers
