A fair shake for the "Incumbered"

I have just finished watching the "SUNDAY" programme on TV1, about a 73 year old father from the Coromandel region who cares for his two handicapped children, a Daughter aged 43years and a Son a bit younger who as well as his handicap he is also schizophrenic.

My heart went out to the father immediately I saw the man, one who was deserted by his wife when she realised that she couldn't take anymore when the son was 8 months old.

The father gave up smoking and drinking to give his children a better life which has taught them some "LIFE" skills so as they can cope in the world.

He is part of a group who are "FIGHTING" the government to be paid for the work they do as caregivers; no less than what the government pays "OFFICIAL" caregivers. In other words the government will pay a caregiver to do exactly what this caring man is doing for his children but they wont pay him.

Tony Ryall the minister in charge of the particular portfolio stated that it would take five (5) years to get the matter sorted out.

What a load of Bulsh.

It could be done at 11:30pm when everyone is in bed asleep like a lot of other regulations and laws that have been passed and the public not being told what has happened until somebody gets caught doing something that the "CLANDESTINE" Law relates to.

I think Tony Ryall has an absolute brain block and is unfit as a politician (even in the Mickey Mouse Party) if he thinks that most sane, caring and fairminded members of the public would accept his arrogance.

He should remember who pays his criminally excessive salary... the taxpayers he's trying to hoodwink.

Maybe he should stay out of Bellamy's cheap publicly funded restraunt and leave the spirits alone because it's obviously addled his brain.

Lets all support this caring father and give him a FAIR GO.
