when i was sixteen a friend of mine bought a 1948 studebaker open car, which came with no soft top as over the years it had been damaged. however we decided that we could make a temporary one by using a adapted shower curtain! unfortunately when trialling our new roof, it came free, and wrapped around the drivers head causing us to run off the road into a ditch. after this we never did try another do it yourself!
