Motohound vehicles are supplied by New Zealand’s largest importer of Japanese used vehicles, AutoTerminal New Zealand.
AutoTerminal New Zealand (ATNZ) is New Zealand owned and operated and has been supplying vehicles to the New Zealand market for over 10 years.
The philosophy of ATNZ is to supply the highest quality Japanese used cars exceeding NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency) criteria through its “e2e Process”.
What is e2e (end 2 end)? It is the complete quality statement that ensures you can purchase a Motohound vehicle with total confidence.
e2e starts in Japan where the vehicles are purchased by IBC Japan, an internationally renowned purchasing organisation buying from the best auctions throughout Japan.
Once the vehicles have been purchased they are then handed to AutoTerminal Japan for preparation for shipping to New Zealand.
This includes
1. Stolen vehicle check
2. Odometer (Speedo) certification
3. MAF inspections
4. Structural inspection
5. Cleaning & photographing
The vehicles are then sent to New Zealand on specialised car carrying vessels.
On arrival into New Zealand, the cars are MAF inspected again before being transported to ATNZ’s 6500sqm workshop facility.
Once delivered to the workshop, the cars are handed over to VSS (Vehicle Safety Systems) and VTNZ (Vehicle Testing New Zealand) who independently inspect the vehicles to NZTA standards and requirements where in the case of ATNZ those standards are exceeded.
When a vehicle is signed off, VTNZ place a WOF (Warrant of Fitness) sticker on the windscreen and ATNZ then and only then, prepare the car for sale.
This includes attending to any further mechanical issues, panel and paint if required and finally a full groom inside and out, making this the best quality control process for used Japanese imported cars.
