The depths of a world-wide recession might seem like a challenging time to launch a new business, but when that business proposition enables clients to build their own website FREE – then what better time than a recession? That’s how three young Auckland entrepreneurs saw their plans for OpenBox.
The brains behind the business are: Joe Mansell - Creative Director, Tod Tait - Sales Director and Mark Davidson - Technical Director. Each with a respective background in web development and design, they saw a gap in the market for simple website solutions for consumers. Their perspective was that if the clients are the ‘Content Managers’ why should they pay for the website build?
OpenBox provides a unique opportunity for those with no technical experience to stake their place in the World Wide Web quickly, easily and with no design or build costs. The efficiency of their business model is proving to be a hit; since their official launch in February this year, OpenBox already has over 100 happy customers who have created an online presence for their business. The templated website design and Content Managed structure means that OpenBox provides a complete website solution - ideal for business, charity, club and organisation websites, as well as personal and special interest websites.
So, what’s the catch?
