You’ve got a great computer; blazing speed, all the whistles and bells; you can go through spread sheets like there’s no tomorrow and surf like a pro on 90 Mile Beach. But when you do tear yourself away from the beast and let your spouse, kids or anyone else use it did you realise they could be browsing thru all the files you thought you had deleted.
So, where do you think your files, emails and other pieces of internet history went when you deleted them? Well unfortunately it doesn't just disappear like many of us would think it does. Because whenever you use your computer, you leave a little footprint that can be traced back to everything you did. Every word you typed, every password you saved, and every email you deleted are still there somewhere on your computer. To make matters even worse, these little footprints take up valuable hard drive space. Every one that is created will slow down your computer a little bit more, causing more crashes and long boot times.
Using normal searching means, you probably would never find one of these footprints. Unfortunately other people can. With little or no technological knowledge, a computer user can download a program which will retrieve files and emails you thought you long ago deleted. These pieces of software are a dime a dozen, you never know who could be looking through your history. Your boss, spouse, or just a friend could search through everything you've ever done on your computer. No you say you have nothing to hide right, but it’s the invasion of privacy that is at the root of this dilemma and I don’t know about you, but I find that a bit frightening.
I am sure you will agree that you need to find some way of keeping your computer secure. The first step to keeping your computer more private is to understand how these footprints get on there, and how to get them off. Now there is a great complementary report you can download from this link Privacy Control . It will explain, in depth, what these little footsteps are. It also covers ways to get rid of them, common problems with them, and possible legal action if you don't get rid of them.
Finding a good Privacy Controller is not an easy task. These are the pieces of software that are designed to locate your footprints in the tiniest corners of the computer and clean them up; but there aren't many programs that really work, lots of them use faked numbers to scare the user into buying them. You need to find a program that doesn’t use fudged numbers to make sure that you are actually being secured. So do be careful.
If you like the idea of people (whom you might not even know) going through all of your personal files and emails that you thought you deleted, then don't download the report. However, if you want to keep a standard of privacy, at least look at it and give it some though; it will only cost you your time and could save you a lot of trouble.
