AVID Hi Fi

Avid are passionate about Hi Fi, Audio and Visual equipment for your home. They are the experts in their field and know everything there is to know about these products and what to look for when purchasing. So here are a few of their tips and tricks when buying Hi Fi.

Before starting do some homework and research on the Internet to see what components and speakers are available.
Read some equipment reviews as this will give you some ideas on things to look for when purchasing a Hi Fi system, but don’t let a review be your sole basis for purchasing.

In almost any Hi-Fi set up the CD player is the source that has the most influential effect on the performance of your entire system so don’t skimp
on this important component. The better quality the CD player the better the listening experience.
Then work your way to the amplifier and finally the speakers which will have the greatest overall impact on your system because you have chosen your source and amplification correctly.

The most important piece of advice when purchasing Hi Fi equipment is listen to the equipment before purchasing, because at the end of the day it is your ears that should make the final decision.

Take along your favourite music and listen to a few tracks on each component or system. The one that sounds better or gives you the most enjoyment is the correct one for you, despite the price, the reviews and anyone else’s opinion. They are your ears and we all hear things differently.

Synergy of components is also very important so try and listen to them all together as a system if possible.

Avid is an independently owned and operated Hi Fi, Home Theatre and TV specialist store in Ponsonby Auckland and at www.avid.net.nz.

They have years of experience in the Audio Visual industry and their entire product range is sourced from local importers so there is no pressure on customers to buy a certain brand.

As Avid is a small business that cares about their customers getting the best system for their needs, you will not be sent home with your new purchase in a box and then left wondering how to get it all going like in the store.
You will get your new home theatre, Hi Fi system or TV delivered and setup correctly free of charge.
It is important that the system is set up correctly so that you get the maximum listening or viewing pleasure, and you will also be trained on how to operate the equipment.

You are dealing with people who know what they are doing so you can be confident that you have made the right purchasing decision.

To receive this level of service and to view their wide range of Hi Fi, Home Theatre and Television equipment call in to AVID, 94 Franklin Road, Ponsonby, call 09 3604491 or if you are out of town go to www.avid.net.nz.
