There is no better season than spring. To stand among sweet Jonquil and Daffodil, breath deep and listen to the sounds of newborn young.
It is the season of colour, smell and life and the annual time of regeneration and motherhood among all species.
Gardens, parks and fields are strewn with a rainbow of colour never seen at any other time of the year and sweet, fresh smells invade the warm air. These become the aphrodisiac breath that weaves its invisible magic upon the earth.
Males of the species try to prove themselves worthy suitors while females flirt and tease until they choose their mate.
Bees flit from flower to flower, pollination completed so flowers and fruit continue the cycle of life. These will sustain other species so they will grow healthy and strong.
This is the season of wonderment and beauty. It is indeed, my favourite season of the year.
