The most wonderful trip away!!

I was taken to the Casino by my family to meet people I just chat to on-line.

Was I worried? Not a bit! I was there to meet “family”.

What a fabulous group of people. We all seemed to ‘click’ straight away, and the talking and laughing didn’t stop. We had dinner and a wee gamble, then went home to meet up again the next day. The Cherryatrics had organised a mid-winter meal at Hornby Junction which was fabulous. Again, lovely to meet new folk, and friends from the chat room.

My son-in-law has a Harley, so he was most obliging and took Mamamia for a ride around a few blocks, then took me back to their place. I, at least, had trousers on and, unlike Mamamia, didn’t have to tuck up lots of skirt! Very cold on the knees though….

The day on the trams will not be forgotten in a hurry. Trying to mix with the police who were ‘at lunch’ and certainly have no idea what they have missed... Cuddling up to gladiators, men on the tram, the driver.  

Wednesday morning tea, at Meschinos, another fabulous meeting… Full of laughter.

Everywhere we went we wore our fascinators, which caused lots of smiles and interested people. All were given the GrownUps website address and told how wonderful it all was!

Thank you so much GrownUps for making this possible, for us to have friends, and to meet, and not stop laughing… I often think: what a great site for those amongst us who are house-bound.
