I asked him the question,
The one he could not answer
He is silent, it seemed forever
Lifting the moment
To a peaceful dark quietness
The lay of this face
Like an aerial map
But I am not a flyer
Then I aimed dead centre
Spitting out the words
Hitting targets
Making gaping wounds
Watching while he teetered
Watching while he bled
Slowly, eyes, mouth, forked tongue
Condemned man
Pray for redemption
