Marie Higgs writes in many genres. Fiction, non-fiction. poetry,magazine, newspaper articles, children’s stories. Her first published novel-
Hear The Sea Sing, is the first book of a trilogy.
She belongs to the New Zealand Society of Authors, International Writers Workshop, Marlborough Writer’s Group and Picton Poets. Marie also wrote for a number of years for the Wanganui Newspaper, (Chronicle), later articles for Wild Tomato magazine and others. Compiles The Voyager Newsletter for the Edwin Fox Society – Picton and a monthly newsletter -Wilderness Whispers, she also enters writing/poetry competitions, with varying successes. She has some poems in the Picton Poets soon to be published anthology called Reflections, poems about Picton and the Marlborough Sounds.
Marie has three lovely daughters and a handsome son all of whom she is very proud . Although living alone, she has a very annoying Mr Nobody in residence, who insists on drinking her coffee while she is writing!!!!!
