Bruce Johnston - Classic Rose Paintings

Bruce Johnston is semi retired and now living on a lifestyle block in Fencourt, Cambridge. Because he is semi retired he spending a great deal of his time painting in oils which has become his passion over the last 14 or so years.

In the year since he moved to Fencourt he has completed his first commissioned work, of three heifers, and is now presenting his first solo exhibition.

Bruce is a perfectionist, and the first rose he painted is an exceptional work. I hope that it will be included in the exhibition.

The exhibition will be held March 1st to 31st at the Ngaroto Nursery Cafe, which is at 208 Ngaroto Road, Te Awamutu. The Nursery and cafe is open 7 days a week .

Te Awamutu has the title of "Rose City" of New Zealand and of course this exhibition is of "Oil on Canvas paintings of classic hybrid Floribunda and Tea Roses".

Do call in to the Ngaroto Nursery Cafe and view this exhibition which will be of interest if you are a rose grower and lover, if you are looking for an original art work that will fit a specific space in your home, or if you looking for an original oil painting by a New Zealand artist.

I am living in the Netherlands and cannot be in New Zealand in March to view the exhibition, but having seen Bruce's earlier work including his original rose I know that a visual treat is in store.
