Phone Book Hook

The new phone book arrived so I found a hand drill to make a hole in the cover of the book so I could put a piece of string through it and hang the directory on a hook by the phone....therefore everyone could find the phonebook when they wanted it.
I seemed to drill for ages before I felt the drill make its way through. Yes it had finally made its way through; through the book, and the old antique mahogany dining room table. Passing the hole off as two tooth borer didn't work either!
