A doctors Green Prescription to get out and get ACTIVE sent Graeme Stanley on an unexpected career & recreation path that was as simple as putting one foot after the other. Graeme ran in Christchurch The Christchurch City Councils ACTIVE CHRISTCHURCH Walks programme from 1998 till July 2009.. By combining information on HERITAGE HOMES &BUILDINGS &Pioneering people he has now notched up over 1307 Walks. with in excess of 67,000 people. After July 2009 he left the C.C.C. to continue these walks voluntarily on TUESDAYS at Twilight & Thursday mornings. Shortly he is to add a once a month Sunday Walk. called A SLICE OF HERITAGE WALKS. WITH WALKTOLOGIST GRAEME STANLEY.There is a Regular coffee group on Thursday mornings called SOCIAL CLIMBERS and a coffee Cafe is listed with the walk on the 3 MONTH PROGRAMMES

Armed with information from librarys the internet and the Heritage Home Owners of Christchurch Graeme has opened the doors of many old homes to his groups.Some walkers have been with him the whole 11 & a half years. Its wonderful to see the Social interaction as walkers come together to chat exchange books & plants and arrange other outings as well as the FUN,FITNESS &FRIENDSHIP that Graemes groups have fostered He has many success stories..
