Denva Galloway & Bill Herivel were the 1st to shoot on the 100 yard range at the taranaki smallbore rifle range at the eltham shooting complex,,both shooters have nz championships to their names,both denva & bill shot 98>4 out of 100 at the 1st shoot,,denva is a nz rep & bill has won 4 nz A grade titles,, the 1oo yard ranges are very rare in nz now but the taranaki shooters enjoy the 6 mound range for their monthly shoot,the range was opened in 1999 after much hard work.......isnt it good that men & woman can compete together ,,,,the mound has since been concreted & yes 22 rifles can shoot very accurately at 100 yards target which the bullseye is 1 inch in diameter,
