Two women in their 50’s are about to pushbike from Bluff to Cape Reinga starting on February 29.
Jenny Dillner is a reporter for the Hastings Leader Community newspaper Hawke’s Bay, and has been given three months off work to do this epic journey. Cate Williams is a strength and fitness coach for mature and motivated women at Fit4fun4life home based studio on the Gold Coast, Australia.
They want to motivate and encourage women to join them for part of their journey. Whether it is 1km, 10kms, 100kms whatever, they will be welcomed with open arms.
Starting in Bluff they want media coverage as they head up the country, so that other women know and are ready to join them as they ride through their town, city.
As they cycle they are going to raise funds for Kiva and the Hunger Project. Hunger Project is a global movement aiming to end hunger and to empower women and men to end their own hunger.
Kiva is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Kiva lets individuals borrow as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.
