Auckland is a Peace City!!!

The full Council voted to designate Auckland as a Peace City on 15 December 2011. And Mayor Len Brown registered with the United Nations as a Mayor for Peace!
Remember reading all about it in the Herald and seeing coverage on TV? Guess what? Both media have been mute on this fabulous news...even though I contacted the Herald and encouraged them to make hay with this fabulous Christmas story!
So what's the deal here????
Perhaps you might want to ask your elected Council person, or contact the Mayor's office, or your favorite TV station or even the Herald to ask what their motivation is in keeping this very positive news from us.
Remember, 'the answer is.....
L O V E'
and that's a powerful pre-condition for peace!
