How can we keep our homes clean with out using unnecessary toxic cleaning products?
Here are a few of my own personal eco-cleaning solutions people may like to use.


MIRROR AND WINDOW CLEANER

1/2 bucket warm water
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp white vinegar
* Mix together. Scrunch up a good quantity of
newspaper and dip it into the mixture, squeeze
out and use lots of elbow grease.


LIQUID SPRAY CLEANER

2 Litres warm water
1 tsp borax
1 tsp liquid soap
1 tsp white vinegr
3 drops essential oil (lavender, pine,
eucalyptus,thyme or lemon)
*Mix together and put into a bottle for a spray and wipe.


SHOWER BASE AND BATH CLEANER

Sprinkle baking soda on the surface and scrub with a nylon scourer.
Use lemon juice and a few drops of manuka oil to disinfect the base.

by noal 29th March 2011 love using natural products, has anyone a recipe for a stain remover for carpets I normally use a mixture of vinegar, water and washing up liquid in equal quanties but forgot to change the malt vinegar for white for a lighter carpet so the stain hasn't gone
