And So Comes Spring
The golden of the Kowhai,
The blossom pink and white,
The brilliant green of budding leaves
What an awesome sight !
Sweet perfume of flowers,
Wafts on gentle showers.
Raindrops glisten bowers
Oh...Just to be... for hours.
Softly air caresses skin,
Ushering quiet peace within
Feel one's heart and soul to ease.
Fragrant whiff of wood smoke
Drifting to the sky.
Smell of earthy dampness
'Neath the wakening trees.
As I go walking by.
Trills the wondrous song bird
Sweet nature sounds he's heard...
Lambs a bleating,
Calves cavorting,
Puppies tumbling,
Kittens scampering,
Foals a frisking
Birds a cheeping,
Babies peeping...
Children playing
Some folks praying
Fathers laughing,
Mothers smiling,
As I go walking by.
And thus...Earth has rested,
Nature now vested
Bursts forth in all her might
And so comes Spring
Enchanting and glorious sight...
Hope, New Life to bring
This wondrous salutation
Of our God's Creation.
