Ingredients - If cooking for a big family use lots of pre-cooked sausages
One Big Onion, Big apple, Mixed vegetables or ones everyone likes, 1 dessertspoon sugar, 1 dessertspoon of curry powder (or to taste), a handful of sultanas, 1 tablespoon of chutney.

Fry the onions if you wish, or put all ingredients into large pot, cover with water or stock (marmite or oxo cubes will also make a change from water or stock). Simmer for an hour or so, thicken with cornflour, add extra water if necessary and cook gently for 5 minutes. Children and adults love this recipe.

by Jan 9th May I was looking for this recipe - thanks - now I use it all the time and my daughter does too. It is just like mum used to make in the 40s and 50's.
by Bowie 31st July 2012 I was thrilled to find the recipe for my mother's curried sausages probably dating back to the 1940s. My whole family use the recipe and I was the GrownUps member Bowie who sent it in, in 2008!
