As I sit here alone in the fading light,
I play once again for you,
all of your favourite love songs,
Some sad, some happy, some blue.
I wait for you to sing them,
as you did when we were young,
When you brought great joy to my heart,
With the songs, and the way you sung.
And when I dream, I'll dream of you,
Maybe some day, you'll dream of me too
And when I dream, I'll dream of you,
And maybe some day,
Your dreams will come true.
And now as I sit here playing,
I gaze at your beautiful face,
and wonder... Do the Angels know?
Of your gentleness, serenity, your grace.
The years have slowly ticked on by,
since that cold dark winter's day,
When you sang your last sweet love song,
and with your final breath did say.....
And when I dream, I'll dream of you,
Maybe some day, you'll dream of me too
And when I dream, I'll dream of you,
And maybe some day,
Your dreams will come true.
