BOTANY TOWN CENTRE’S GUIDE KEEPS THE WINTER BLUES AT BAY

With the end of daylight savings for another year, the nip of autumn is in the air and wintry weather is no longer a distant prospect. The team at Botany Town Centre knows how enticing the convenience and extensive retail offer of their centre is as winter approaches, so they have put together a Guide to Winter Time to help their customers make the most of the cold season.

“Winter can be a tough time for the most cheery of us, and we’ve created this Guide to Winter Time to help our shoppers get through the winter months and have a little fun along the way,” says Botany Town Centre Marketing Manager Georgina Yates. “We wanted our customers to see the trends of the season at a glance, and for it to be colourful and exciting to flick through. As well as displaying our retail offering, we’ve included many discount coupons for products and services for customers to enjoy during the extra time they spend indoors in winter.”

Grouped around seasonal ideas such as Comfort Time, Snuggle Time and Inside Time, the Guide to Winter Time showcases winter-friendly merchandise from more than 150 specialty stores, from terrycloth robes and slippers to board games and winter wardrobe ideas.

But the Guide to Winter Time is not only about shopping. Ms Yates says her team gave considerable thought to how to enhance the winter experience for our customers, both at home and at Botany Town Centre. “We’ve filled the guide with some enticing tips and ideas for the winter season. Botany Town Centre isn’t just a shopping centre; it’s also a lifestyle and entertainment destination for many people, so we’ve included plenty of suggestions for enjoying the winter season, both here and at home.”

At Botany Town Centre, the Guide to Winter Time invites visitors to retreat from winter by experiencing the luxurious Circle Lounge at Berkeley Cinemas, or to relax with a friend over coffee and muffins at Muffin Break. For cold days at home, Yates says, her team has grouped ideas around themes. “For example, we have a section called Down Time, with great ideas to keep you occupied this winter, such as making a selection from Whitcoulls’ top 100 list or indulging in some new bath products.”

Another section, Comfort Time, helps shoppers to stay warm by providing tips on how to light a fire and find the best hot water bottle, along with a tantalising recipe for pumpkin soup.

Also included in the Guide to Winter Time are competitions and special offers from many retailers, such as a $5,000 luxury jewellery package, a six-month gym membership, and two-for-one specials from coffee and food retailers. “We hope the special offers in the Guide to Winter Time will enhance the winter season for our customers, and with a range of discount coupons, we are confident everyone will find something that takes their fancy.”

And some lucky customers will find that a wee spend-up has benefits that last until next winter; along with the chance to win the exclusive his and hers Raymond Weil Tango watches, diamond earrings and Mont Blanc pen that are included in the $5,000 jewellery prize, the Guide to Winter Time includes special draws for a café breakfast every week for a year, and a bunch of flowers each month for the next 12. What could be better to soothe winter’s sting?
