Upper Hutt GrownUps Get-Together
We have had some great news that the GrownUps get-togethers are starting to gain a bit of notoriety. A local Upper Hutt newspaper - the Upper Hutt Leader - is interested in reporting on a GrownUps get-together organised by one of our members!
All members who will be in the Wellington and Upper Hutt region are invited to join in the fun tomorrow (Thursday 22nd January). There has already been an article about it in a local paper (see below) and rumour has it that a reporter will attend the get-together to take some photos and run a story. So be sure to come along for a bit of mischief, a lot of fun, and possibly the chance to have your picture in the paper!

Coffee friendship group starts
Everyone loves someone to talk to - sometimes even a stranger.
And this is why Upper Hutt resident Anna Jones has organised a "first time" coffee meeting where older people who would like to meet some new faces and join in some fresh conversation can do so. Anna's idea for the coffee meeting, set to be held at the Fig Tree Cafe tomorrow morning at 11:30am, came from the www.grownups.co.nz website which has already organised a similar event in Auckland and she believes it's the perfect thing for Upper Hutt.
"There are a lot of people joined to the website who are from Upper Hutt and we thought it would be great to get together," Anna says.
She says althought many of the people coming will be members of the website, the event is "not a closed shop".
