Softly she crept over dew sodden ground
Up to her hiding place, without a sound
Looking this way and that way, had to be sure
That no one had seen her come out of the door
But not a sound to be heard for all were asleep
Free to proceed she began to dig deep
Using only her nails and nary a tool
Panting and puffing she started to drool
Finally she found the prize she had sought
The bones she had buried, the prey she had caught
