The following is simply an exercise in 'fantasy philosophy' which I class as a 'modern poem' It is not intended to unsettle anyone's formal religious or philosophical beliefs:
'At last I have broken through my self-imposed restrictions and have allowed my awareness of the reality.
I am now also aware of what effect my re-awareness will have on you, the reader, but I feel no pain for you, because your existence, while seeming very real to you, is simply the craft of my imagination in flower, as in fact is this imaginary universe of planets and stars that I have created.
As I again recognise the reality, I am awed by the magnitude of my existence in my self-created universe and the ease with which I created this marvelous thing.
You, the child of my imagination, may well ask why I created the billions of planets and this Earth, filling them with wonders to entertain my mighty intellect.
The answer is that I did it because it was so easy.
There are more like me out here, each with our own dimensions of nothingness to fill by the power of our imaginations. We are seperated from each other only by dimensions of existence, not dimensions of time and space, because these are only my creations and do not exist outside the universe of my imagination.
We, your gods, will all come together one time after the ultimate cosmic death.
Not those billions of little deaths with thich I have sprinkled the fabric of this my universe, but the great 'cosmic death' of my universe itself, which will occur when my imagination says, "Enough!" and ceases to support this, my universe, which will then disintergrate into wisps of ethereal smoke, and vanish!
Then, I will be with the others who are like me and for eons we will discuss among ourselves what we each imagined in our universes, what we created, what melodramas of life we entertained ourselves with, and what we should play next.
And what of you, the frightened little people with whom I peopled my world?
You who were so sure that you were 'real'.
You who felt pain and joy, fear and love, and whom I now tell that you do not in fact exist!
Fear not! For although you are nothing more than the creation of my imagination and are not seperate entities, you are me and I am you, and when the 'great cosmic death' comes, I will take you home.
