The Game Of Life
By
Jerry Wayne Humphrey
I had a dream last night
While everyone around me slept
I saw my body down on earth
But my soul in heaven was kept
All my friends and family were there
They all said we are so glad you came
It’s getting bad down there on earth
People killing for fortune and fame
They don’t realize that
When their time on earth is done
They must then be judged
By the creators holy son
He wont be looking at
Their wealth or fame
It won’t matter if they won or lost
But how they played the game
Was good or evil in their hearts on earth
And did they believe in him when they were there
What did they do for others?
And did they really care
It they believed in him
And did their very best
They can enter heaven
They have passed their test
It they did not in him believe
And they did not for others care
To hell they will go
And spend eternity there
So keep your eyes on the prize
Believe and care for others is what to do
Where you go when you die
Is really up to you
