Welcome to Go Racing At SkyCity

Join in the racing every Wednesday for a chance to win Derby Dollars.  Then use your Derby Dollars to bid on $40,000 in amazing prizes at our final auctions on 8 April.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• It’s FREE and fun to play!

• Every Wednesday from 11 February until 1 April 2009, with the final auctions to be held on 8 April 2009.  

• Two sessions every Wednesday with racing starting at 11am and 7pm.

• To play, simply collect a coloured race card and matching wristband from the Go Racing promotional girls, SKYCITY Hosts, Cashiers or Action Stations on the main casino floor at the start of each racing session. Then watch the races on the big screens to see if your horse is a lucky winner.

• The three winning horses from each race will be allocated Derby Dollars at the end of the racing session.  

• Derby Dollars can then be used to bid for $40,000 in amazing prizes at two exciting auctions (no real money needed) held on 8 April 2009 at 11am and 7pm in Winners Bar on the main casino floor.

HOW TO PLAY!

This 3 step guide will walk you through the basics of Go Racing.

STEP ONE
Select a lucky colour then pick up your FREE coloured race card and matching wristband from the main casino floor.

STEP TWO
Listen to the Go Racing Host who will allocate a colour to each horse in the upcoming race.  Then watch each race unfold on the big screens to see if your horse is a lucky winner.
There are 8 races in each session – so 8 chances to win Derby Dollars and you can be involved in all the fun and excitement from your table game or gaming machine.

STEP THREE
If your horse comes in FIRST, SECOND or THIRD then you win Derby Dollars. You can collect your winning Derby Dollars after each race or at the end of the 8 race session. However, please make sure you collect your winnings before 10pm each Wednesday for that day’s racing.  Derby Dollars will be allocated to the winning horses as follows:

1st place     $1,000 Derby Dollars
2nd place     $500 Derby Dollars
3rd place     $250 Derby Dollars

ARE YOU NEW TO GO RACING?

Go Racing is fun, easy to learn and FREE to play.  To help get you started, we will be holding two ‘Learn to Play’ sessions in Winners Bar on the main casino floor on Tuesday 10 February and Tuesday 17 February.  So if you would like to know more come along and bring your friends so you can all enjoy the racing action every Wednesday at SKYCITY.

AUCTION PRIZES:

The Go Racing final auctions will be held on Wednesday 8 April at 11am and 7pm.
With $40,000 in prizes to be auctioned there’s sure to be something that will catch your eye.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Employees of SKYCITY, their related companies and their advertising agencies, and all persons currently excluded from SKYCITY, are not eligible to enter. 

2. Each participant can only receive one race card and one wristband for each race session. Derby Dollars will not be awarded if the participant’s wristband is torn or removed from the participant’s wrist. Winners must collect their Derby Dollars from the Action Station or Cashiers (up until 10pm after the relevant race session). Derby Dollars have no monetary value, may not be exchanged for cash and are invalid if damaged or mutilated. Bidders must attend the relevant auction to place a bid and present the correct value of Derby Dollars. 

3. SKYCITY will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that advertised prize items are available for auction.  SKYCITY reserves the right to withdraw and replace any of the advertised prize items with an item of approximate value should that advertised prize item not be available for any reason.

4. SKYCITY reserves the right to alter any part of the competition, any of the conditions of entry, delay the start of competition or cancel the competition without notice.
