Short Story Winners - Winter 2008
Thank you to all our members who submitted stories to this year's Short Story Competition. We had a fantastic response to the Short Story Competition with a range that covered fiction, travel and children's stories. Naturally Spring featured predominantly and there were a number of stories with a definite twist to the tail!
It was difficult to pick a winner. However we eventually chose 'The Rocking Chair', which was beautifully written, evoking a strong sense of loss and place. You can read our three winning entries and two highly commended stories below.
