CLARKSON THRILLER
RELEASE DATE: 8 January 2009
STARRING: Jeremy Clarkson
CATEGORY: Television
RRP DVD: $29.99
Jeremy Clarkson is having more fun than anyone else on the planet right now by hunting for the most thrilling ride he can find behind the wheel.
For the ultimate in ‘heart in mouth, adrenaline pumping’ action, Jeremy takes to the formidable peaks of The Alps with a range of stunning super cars including the Zonda F Roadster, Aston Martin DBS and Alpha 8C in a race to find the fastest. Who will deliver the ultimate ride?
The Germans do two things very well, super cars and incredibly fast roads. In Clarkson Thriller, the two elements combine to create the ultimate driving experience as he tests the speed of a Porsche 997 Turbo on a B-restricted autobahn, one of the fastest roads in Europe. Speed certainly thrills!
Whilst racing around at incredibly high speeds, there is something that can certainly put a dampener on things! Speed cameras, speed limits and those pesky highways patrol vehicles. All become insignificant however when you fit your own set of rocket launchers to a Porsche 944. With explosive results, Jeremy need not worry about speeding again.
The Lexus LS400 is a dull car for dull people, so Clarkson decides to shoot it up, with the help of the Royal Marines. Without a doubt, the most thrilling thing that has ever happened to a Lexus.
We all know that Clarkson is no fan of the diesel engine so how can it ever be thrilling? What about dropping it from a bloody great height? Yes, that should do it – especially if it lands on a highway agency patrol vehicle. And what about buses? They clog our inner cities, their diesel engines billow smoke… but not any more as Clarkson blows one to smithereens.
To inject a bit of glamour into proceedings, super model Jodie Kidd takes on Clarkson in the smallest of our thrilling challenges, at a disused power-station, as a Mini races the Fiat 500 in true Italian Job style.
Adrenaline junkies will love the ferocious fight between the Gallardo Superleggera and the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Clarkson also gets behind the wheel of a McLaren 722 GT racer, one of the fastest race cars around.
Clarkson Thriller is an absolute must have for petrol heads and Top Gear fans alike with striking photography, thrilling explosions and the most sensational super cars available making it the best Clarkson DVD yet.
