Happy New Year 2010 twentyten what will we call it!

It's been over six months since I wrote and that took ages.. with my right side partially disabled from my Stroke in 2008. The good news is that on November 3rd last year a had surgery on my right hand..Dupuytrens Consticture Release. .and it's such a blessing to get use of my right hand back. I likened the condition it was in as a 'club hand' very little movement.. a couple of fingers and a thumb and my hand in a permanent pyramid shape. But after the surgery at Waitemata Health surgeon Doctor Simon Chinchanwalla - and the followup physio at Handson Rehabilitation in Red Beach. I can function again. Wow! I've learned so much about our hands. 'If they were made of Steel.. they would only last 7 years'... amazing.The result and healing has been enhanced by EECP at Primary Heartcare in Parnell; I am blessed.

There was so much I wanted to write about during the past half year..Michael Jackson, Sir Howard Morrison for a start.. MJ has been overdone, well cooked I guess.. at least his Estate is reaping multi-millions $$$ to repay debt. If he had been in Australia or New Zealand.. he wouldn't have had the control over his life (or death)that one does in the USA. Money brings power over there. Have you noted that his personal Dr. has not been indicted or prosecuted? Methinks his contract with MJ stated something to the effect that when his boss..the patient says 'prescribe'..the doctor jumps to attention and delivers. Why else would he be paid the rumoured $100 k's per month? So I'm picking that MJ was responsible for his own death - if not by design - by misadventure. Ever since the ill-fated Pepsi Commercial where his hair caught fire... he was on painkillers and had to wear a wig.. years of that and tragic outcome.. I met him when he was young beautiful and 11. Without a care he danced with Cher all night. RIP Michael Jackson one of the greatest stars Stars of Stage and Screen Of all Time.

Sir Howard's Passing was not altogether unexpected but still too soon. I'll miss my old friend but the memories a great.Maori Television did a wonderful job of his funeral which was also quite remarkable. Sir Howard would be proud of his children and his Iwi. The country mourned him for at least 7 Days.. more than for Sir Ed I thought (and that's not a slight on Sir Ed at all!)Howard was loved so much by so many. I feel he's at peace now I was in mourning until the Funeral.. but then felt so good for Howard; his sendoff was fit for royalty and that's what he deserved. RIP my friend.. your music, videos and DVD's will keep out thoughts alive for you.
