IF THIS IS RIGHT, THEN MY LOVE
I GAVE MY HEART TO YOU

THERE IS NO WAY THAT YOU CAN KNOW
JUST HOW MUCH I'VE FELT
AND HOW BITTER SWEET TO READ
THE CARDS THAT FATE HAS DEALT

BUT IF YOU'LL EXCEPT MY SHOULDER
WHEN TEARS ROLL DOWN YOUR FACE
AND A HAND TO HOLD IN TROUBLED TIMES
I'LL LIFT YOU UP WITH GRACE

I'LL BE YOUR FRIEND OR WHATEVER ELSE
IS NEEDED AT THE TIME
IF YOU WILL SAY THAT YOU WILL BE
A CARING FRIEND OF MINE

I'LL ASK FOR NOUGHT AND OFFER NONE
SO IF YOU NEED A HAND
YOU'LL HAVE TO ASK IN A SIMPLE WAY
THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND

IF YOU CAN FIND YOUR HAPPINESS
