Her eyes ...
Brimming with tears
She watches him
As he walks away.
Inside she's crying
Calls out to him ... please stay.
Her heart tells her she wants him
Her mind says no
And tells her ... let him go.
He's a player,
And she knows
A heart breaker,
But still can't bear to admit
They're better apart.
So many times,
He's left her
Heartbroken.
Always an empty bed
She has found
When she's woken.
But she loves him,
Mind, body and soul,
She knows he's the one
Who makes her feel whole.
Her friends say he's trash,
She'll find someone new,
But she knows it's not
What she really wants,
He's walking away.
Out of her life
Forever, he's gone.
That string
That holds them close,
She's now chosen to sever.
And she faces
The world
Alone again
Back on her own again
Now that She's chosen
She's chosen.
He's walking away.
