GrownUps at the Auckland Flower Show

The day started off with a cold wind but turned out to be a fabulous sunny day. Georgie10 was the first to arrive at the meeting place, I saw her as soon as I turned into Gate D, after parking my car we went back to the meeting place and Tossie arrived followed by LadyP, Tossie was with her husband and a friend so they decided to get into the very long queue and go in, we knew we would see each other at some stage in there.

It wasn’t long before Pauline and her friend Toni arrived, so we all went in together and had a chat while we wandered around together for a while, then we split and said we would catch up again later.

So Georgie, LadyP and I carried on looking at the wonderful collection of flowers, plants, mosaics and outdoor themes. We then went and browsed around the Floral Art exhibits, this year’s theme was ‘Dancing with the Flowers’.

While looking through the retail section, LadyP and I decided to have a temporary henna tattoo done on top of a breast, she got a butterfly and I got a feather, we thought it would be a good conversation piece at our Xmas lunch next week lol! BUT……… after lunch Georgie decided she would get one done too, so she had her birth sign Virgo done in Japanese on the side of her neck, I got a butterfly put on my right ankle that time.

We did bump into Tossies group again and had another chat as well as catching up with Pauline and Toni and had a photo session with the ‘Concrete Man’, he gave Georgie a rose and she then kissed him on both cheeks.

The three of us had a wine with our lunch and gave our feet a rest before having another look through the retail part and leaving just before 4pm.

It was a great day at the Auckland Flower Show, it was lovely to meet Tossie, Pauline and Toni, sorry we didn’t get any photos of Tossie's group but I am sure we will be meeting her again soon.
