But with amnesia, caused by a bullet lodged in his brain and 250,000 missing from the evidence room, Gabriel begins to wonder whether he can trust anyone, not least, himself.
On the other side of the line Joseph Bede, an associate of Wratten's, is planning to risk everything he has on one last drugs deal. Watching from the shadows is the brilliantly lethal puppet master - Gatehouse. As Gabriel begins to unravel the threads around Wratten's organisation, the web of intrigue becomes more complex - and the line that divides the players becomes increasingly blurred.
