Celebrity or not?

How many tourists go to Los Angeles or Las Vegas and never see a celebrity. My wife and I have been three times and on the first two visits, not a cracker. Then luck must have been with us on the third visit. I turned the corner and there before us was George Clooney. What a moment. I said to my wife, quick, go and stand by him and I will take a photo. No sooner had I taken the photo, when I turned around and there was another one. No, not another George Clooney, it was Stevie Wonder. There were so many people around him we thought that because we had seen George Clooney that we had had enough excitement for the day. But that was not to be, as luck was to come our way again. When we walked further on we came across Johnny Depp. The thrill of all this was just too much, until we saw Sammy Davis Jnr. John Wayne and then Elvis. No, we weren’t dreaming. We were at Madam Tussauds at the Venetian Hotel. Not quite the real thing, but so lifelike that it was close enough. The many other figures we saw that day, included Abraham Lincoln, Princess Diana, Tom Jones and ex President George Bush, made for an exiting time, that as the years creep on, will bring back memories that last forever. Oh yes, my wife got to sit with Hugh Heffner and I managed to get with the Rat Pack.
