The girl at the checkout counter,
Said "The weather is awful today
And they say there's a cyclone coming
There's going to be floods they say.
A baby was sick on the floor just now,
And an old man slipped and fell,
An ambulance came and took him away,
And he didn't look too well.
Oh, I think this ham is dodgy
It doesn't smell fresh any more
And I hope this bunch of bananas is not
The bunch that fell on the floor.
We're having to take a drop in pay
It's enough to make you cry
The boss says sales are down this year
And he can't work out just why
That's forty dollars and fifty cents"
And when I went to pay
She said "Will that be all for now?
Oh, and have a lovely day!"
