Too young to die
Too old
to let ambition fly
The memory gone wrinkled
Silver and frusty
musty and shrinkled
Desire so vivid
to love and be lived
Knees weak but remember
the walk of life
the fear of strife
Ageful
That’s what we are
But now we sparkle
as stars
in the twilight years
the highlight years
Tranquil, thankful, twinkling
Lived and loved
Ageful
And magnificent
