About the Author
John Zeisel is president of Hearthstone Alzheimer Care and founder of the Hearthstone Way, an innovative and practical approach to the care of dementia sufferers. He developed the Artists for Alzheimer's program (ARTZ), which develops cultural experiences for Alzheimer's sufferers. He has a PhD in sociology from Columbia and has taught at Yale, Harvard and McGill.

Have just finished reading this wonderful book. I was delighted to discover the author of the book being interviewed in a documentary DVD called "I Remember Better When I Paint" about how the creative arts builds quality of life and improves communications - the glass is "half full" as the author says. Seeing him in this film was inspiring as it brought to life many of the things I read in the book. --- Candice D.
