But when a prison inmate that he and Anna interview is viciously murdered, Thorne starts to understand that Langford is not only alive, but ready to get rid of anyone who could threaten his comfortable new life.
About the Author
Mark Billingham was born and brought up in Birmingham and his first crime novel was published in 2001. Sleepyhead was an instant success selling widely throughout the world. The second novel, Scaredy Cat was published in 2002 and won the Sherlock Award for Best British Detective. Though still occasionally working as a stand-up comic, Mark now concentrates on writing his now multi-award winning series of crime novels featuring London-based detective Tom Thorne. The Thorne series is being brought to life on screen in 2010 in the UK, with acclaimed actor David Morrissey starring as Tom Thorne.
