It is easy to please some and leave a smile

I went to WORK AND INCOME the other day as they sent me a letter to say I and the wife had earned too much (I’m 70 and the wife 65) and they wanted some money back from us, (too long a story what it was for) as I retired some four years ago I haven’t earned anything or has the wife, so I phoned them up to say “I am coming in to sort things out”

When I got there and we got to talking and sorting Etc and worked it all out and I was about to leave the young woman said “I was dreading you coming in as I knew you where both on the pension and I was going to have to take money from you, but you have been very nice about it, usually people seem to think it is all my fault not the system”

That’s when I told her “it’s the story of my life if it wasn’t for BAD luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all, and that I buy two lotto lucky dip’s every week not that I win anything, but I like to think that my money is helping to pay them that do win”

With that I turned to leave and she said thank you for coming in and really making my day if I had one customer a day like you life would be just great,

I left there feeling the money I had had to pay was money well spent,

Isn’t it easy to make life better for others instead of miserable it even made me feel good?
