Reaching 50 creates new challenges and opportunities for everyone.

We enter an era which is commonly called the ‘Third Age’. Did you know that biological wisdom potential begins in our brains at around 45 and you can fully flourish in your life after 50?

Women play a particularly important role during this phase of their lives. It is vital that women flourish over 50 to fulfil their own and others needs.

Throughout the ages, the ‘matriarch’ has been the centre of families and communities; she still is. Today the term matriarch is disliked – it sounds staid and old fashioned. However, women with careers are now instinctively creating organisation communities too.

These days of course, 50 is the new 40 and we expect to live on into a fourth age beyond 80. Personal development workshops are typically aimed at younger women in their 30’s and 40’s. Support amongst the 50 plus group tends to focus well on spiritual development.  However, many of the challenges and opportunities are day to day ones which need more immediate responses. I would like to see the sharing of more practical wisdom amongst women over 50.

The event “You Developing You – flourish over 50” is going to enable that.  The day's about discovering the secrets of wise women - learning the way we learn best: by listening and sharing together.  

I am thrilled that Lindsey Dawson is joining us to share her experiences over lunch.
