The dating frame of mind changes with age. The emphasis of marriage and children is practically gone by this point in a person’s life. You can be assured that if someone is dating over 50 then they have been there, done that, and know exactly what they want and don't want in a mate. They have "been there" and are usually set in their ways. This does not mean that they cannot change; it just implies that is unusual.
