New Eco-friendly Duvet Offers a Healthier Night's Sleep

Dunedin Bedding Company Ellis Fibre has launched a line of environmentally sensitive duvets and pillows called Ecodown, to be sold through Farmers stores nationwide.

“Being green is not a passing trend, it’s a lifestyle choice”, says Ecodown’s Managing Director Glenn Alexander. “But style, comfort and sustainability do not need to be mutually exclusive of each other.”

Ecodown products are manufactured using 100% Organic Cotton grown in fields that have not been chemically fertilized or sprayed with pesticides for at least three years.

No harmful dyes, chemicals or fabric finishes are used in its fabric production and the naturally occurring, environmentally sustainable luxurious white duck down inners are cleaned with quality European specified and manufactured substances to minimize effect on the environment.

“Our bodies are consistently fighting the toxins found in the products around us,” says Alexander. “Ecodown organic duvet inners and pillows are hypoallergenic and safe for anyone in the family, helping to create a sleeping environment that allows the bodies defence systems a chance to recuperate,” he says.
