Young Pleiades

Attention: talented kids and young adults! For the international GIS Day Young Pleiades Trust announces a contest for art or story on:

'Where lives my hero? How can geography help me go there?'

Dear Friends,

Please, draw a picture, a map or tell a story until the 30 of July 2007. We will turn one of the stories we like best into a play performed and filmed for TV. Please, tell us in your letter if you would like to take part in the play.

The mission of the Young Pleiades Trust is to support children with exceptional abilities. We help talented children achieve their full potential.

Our ultimate goal is to promote international peace through prosperity and understanding, for today’s bright kids will be tomorrow’s leaders and opinion shapers. We want them to start their successful journey of creativity and achievement as soon as possible, developing their potential to the max, with as little material obstacles as possible.

Intelligent, creative, talented and successful people speak the same language of wisdom and have a better chance to reach understanding across cultural, religious and political barriers, ultimately leading their respective communities to win-win solutions. That will promote world peace and global development.

We have announced in schools our next contest for an original story imagined by kids to be transformed into a play to be performed by talented young actors.

We plan to organize a show to combine the talents of all children and young adults who have won prizes in our various competitions, at which stage we will invite representatives of the media to broadcast our mission to more young people who may benefit from our activities.

We turn to you for support in any way you may consider: donations, products to be used as prizes for our contestants or a venue for performing arts and exhibition.
